I’m always preaching to my children to read something thoroughly, before jumping in with both feet. I only copied the part that was messed up. If there was a mistake in the sentence, I was supposed to copy the full sentence to the correction form. He had them for about 5 minutes and then he sent them right back. I sent the audio edits back to Sean yesterday. I can’t wait to hear the reaction from everyone after they listen to it. I have characters in book 2, that I think he could do very well. He did such an AWESOME job!!! I am very pleased with the voices of my dragons. Sean Kilgore from Tate Publishing did the narrating for Shadow Man. Of course he told me that I was crazy if I didn’t. I told Troy that I may not do the audio book for Epidemic in the Dark Lands. By the end of the week, my brain felt like mush. I worked about five hours a day on it, and I would get up from the computer feeling like I had run a marathon. It took all week to do this process and it was very tiring. Well, last night I finished the edits on the audio book. Then when it is over, I can truly say, that my child is done and ready for the world. Too cute!! Tomorrow I will sit at the computer after school is over and begin the work. Tonight, I came home from a meeting and found Randi and Haylee huddled around the computer listening t0 my book. To hear the words, “Copyright, by Karen Gammons, 2010.” So awesome! I can’t tell you what a thrill it is to hear my work come to life. Well, I received the audio book this past Friday for editing. The audio book will be done by the end of this month. We were all gathered around listening to the audio. IT WAS SOOOO COOOOL!!!!!!! Such an exciting moment for me and my family. He sent me a sample reading of the prologue. He is the person from Tate Publishing who is going to narrate my book. I opened my email and there was a post from Sean Kilgore. Not to mention it is a lot of work!!!) Hope you enjoy the audio portion. I nearly cried a few times while doing this process. (I wasn’t very happy about the abridged version, because I had to cut so much out of my book. Some people don’t want to buy the book, so Tate Publishing is creating audio CD’s for separate purchase as well. You can burn it to a CD, leave it on your computer to listen to, or put it on your I-Pod. When you buy the book, it comes with a code on the very last page that you type in at Tate’s website and you download the audio for free. There are two ways you can purchase the audio book. However, we didn’t have the technology to create an audio book. Troy and I talked it over and decided that we could make the website, blog and book trailer. Tate Publishing gave me the option of either creating my websites for me or making an audio book. I’m really excited about the audio book for Prince Andy and the Misfits, Shadow Man.
